Question Dacia Stepway petrol or diesel-help please!!!

HI I am new to this forum and have found it to be really helpful, thank you to all the contributors.
I am about to purchase my Dacia Stepway but, I am really indecisive regarding buying a diesel or petrol. I thought diesel would be cheaper to run but after checking my mileages on google maps petrol is coming up cheaper!!!!!
I have read all your comments and parts that were 'foriegn' to me I looked up but, am still non the wiser. you have probably guessed I am not car mechanically minded, apologies!!!!
I am thinking of buying the Dacia stepway dcI Laureate , I thought the diesel - economical- as I thought the tax & petrol would be cheaper but I am so confused now please help as I need to purchase a new car very soon!
I do a 15 mile run to work and back daily (30 miles total) mostly A road and 3 miles on the M25 and a 120 miles run most weekends mostly on the motorway.

Also any thoughts on where would be the best place to buy this car? I do not mind if it is not brand new.
Any help truly appreciated.
thank you in advance

One thing to consider is that most diesel engines are reliable, more reliable than petrol engines. But how much cheaper does the petrol work out to be for you?

Honestly for a 30 mile commute I would just get the petro model

The diesel is only worth it if your commute is beyond 100 miles a day trust me.

The only time that diesel paid of very well for me is when I use to be a traveling sales person. I would travel from 100+ miles everyday.

Yup, it's not much of a commute and with short commutes like that you dont need anything too special.

I work that out as you doing over 14k miles per year, that's above average and I would have thought you would be better off with diesel. What's the price difference between the two models and how long do you plan to keep it for?
