We know the Logan is a fantastic offer, 573 litres of boot space in a £6,995 base package, even the range topping Laureate barely noses itself above 10 grand. However, for its price is Logan any better than the incumbent?

Space

Logan MCV boasts 430 mm in surplus length over the Fabia, while the Skode does enjoy 237 extra millimetres of height. Regardless the Logan sports a 200 mm longer load floor and if you fold the rear seats down the advantage jaunts to 370mm.

Touchability

Because the Skoda makes use of modern Volkswagen switchery and touch points it feels significantly modern over the left over Renault bits that piece together the Logans touch points and interior.

Other Points of Note

While both are positioned as budget brands for their respective parents, no brand in Europe has exploded growth wise as Dacia has over the bulk of the last decade. Skoda has slowly been moving up the chain, and while still being quite value oriented I just don't see how Skoda can or will match the non nonsense focus on low cost value.
